It is important to say that while I see Jonathan as an outstanding contractor and would rehire him in a second…. I am equally appreciative of the fact that he is a wonderful human! We had a couple of house problems arise during the remodel (that had nothing to do with the remodels) and he made himself available to help us figure out a solution. One in particular… a plumbing problem where we were given an $8,000 estimate…and on a Saturday evening he talked us through a process, where we ultimately learned that the evaluation by the plumber was wrong and it was an easy fix. Jonathan cares about both the process and the results of his projects and works very hard to make the experience as positive as possible for his clients.

We screened at least 5 contractors before settling on Jonathan and his team. We had three bathrooms to completely remodel and miscellaneous items around the home to redo. Jonathan took us through the entire process and provided us with accurate estimates. He accommodated the inevitable changes along the way and assisted with the entire process from design to selecting fixtures. We are very happy with the outcome and plan on using his team to remodel our Kitchen next year.
The only bad thing is I used to look forward to traveling, so that I could use the shower at the hotel. I recently stayed at the Trump Tower and it’s bathrooms didn’t come close to mine, so I have lost the only positive of business travel.
We were blessed to have Jonathan as an honest subject matter expert during our major project. He was attentive to details and was able to draft exactly what we had in mind, and have the right crew to carryout the construction of our play house. I hired Jon to design a living space addition to the back of my house and a new master bathroom. He was a delight to work with, we kept on changing the layout and design totaling about 7 changes in the blueprint he didn’t charge us a penny more for the changes. He is a great designer with unique ideas! He assisted us with the material selections and helped us negotiate the prices as well.
All together Metropolis is the best choice in my opinion from all the contractors i interviewed. The prices were fair, no nonsense during the negotiations and every little detail was written down in the contract.
We had a total bath remodel. Our original suite bath had no wall, a sunken concrete bathtub, a large picture window that exposed us to world view while sitting. Jonathan designed a more private and modern bath with floating toilet and vanity. From demo to completion, he checked in periodically to ensure our approval of various stages in construction. He had a foreman who visited regularly. When we noted problems he was quick to respond. We are pleased with the result. And we love our white beveled subway tile! Thanks Jonathan!
