This was our first home renovation so we were nervous about picking a contractor. We met with several contractors before we decided to go with Jonathan, whom we met through a referral. We met him for the consultation and really appreciated how thorough and patient he was in answering all our questions and concerns.
For our kitchen renovation, we wanted to open up our galley kitchen to become a more functional and modern space. Our house was built in the 1920’s, so we had a wall separating our dining room to our kitchen and pantry room. Our project involved knocking down 3 walls, 1 being a foundation wall, rewiring electrical, gas, plumbing, pretty much a full gut. It required a lot of coordination and scheduling between various workers (i.e. cabinet installation, countertops, plumbing, electrical, inspector etc) which was all taken care of and supervised by Jonathan personally…. We really appreciate the fact that he only hired people who were proficient in their expertise only (i.e. the backsplash person was not the one doing your floors also). Every person who was in our house was respectful and made sure to clean up afterward.
Our kitchen renovation project took a total of 8 weeks. Jonathan was good at updating us each time with our progress and always available to answer my calls/text in a timely manner which made this process less stressful. We also had a certain budget in mind, so he made sure to stay within our initial estimate. He is detail oriented, knowledgeable and takes great pride in the quality of his work. The best part was that Jonathan was able to recreate the curve walls which matched our original 1929 Spanish Tudor home. He was able to successfully deliver us a modern kitchen while maintaining the character of the house. Overall, our kitchen turned out amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better contractor.
