This remodeling project involved a full renovation of the kitchen, two bathrooms, and the playroom. The kitchen was gutted, and the wall between the kitchen and dining area was removed to create an open-concept space. Additional windows were added to the exterior wall, allowing natural light to flood the room and offering views of the backyard pool area. A small bar seating area was incorporated into the cabinetry, featuring a stone countertop with a waterfall edge.
When our client purchased this house, it straddled a traditional interior and a 90s modern structure. We implemented a calm beige color scheme with clean lines and consistent materials to unify the spaces. The guest bathrooms feature Cloe zellige-style tiles and custom white oak vanities, which also enhance the built-in TV wall and kitchen island. To address the kitchen’s proportions, we added a secondary line of wall cabinets for balance. The master bathroom offers a true walk-in suite with porcelain semi-slab treatment, achieving a seamless look without the added cost. Kohler fixtures in modern gold finish complete this beautifully remodeled home.

This modern take on Americana transforms the classical American ranch home by enclosing the small front porch to create an inviting interior atrium/mud room. Upon entering, you’ll notice a fireplace with a new stone facade and wooden mantel, complemented by a semi-open floor plan featuring a floating wall that divides the kitchen and living room while allowing for easy movement. The kitchen blends sage colors with Alder wood accents and boasts innovative features like hidden appliances and extra deep cabinets topped with durable Dekton countertops. A 200 sq. ft. addition enlarges the master bedroom, aligns the old bathrooms, and adds a new powder room, along with a spacious walk-in closet and a master bathroom, embodying today’s vision of Americana in classical ranch design.
